Opening Today: Craig Studios, Vancouver, BC
Brock Craig’s much-anticipated new fusing and coldworking studio is now open for business.
Set in Vancouver, B.C., Craig Studios is one of Canada’s best-equipped, private production and teaching studios. It is also a retail outlet for Bullseye sheet and accessory glasses, metal foils, and Paragon’s Bullseye Edition kilns.
Supplies will be sold Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Classes will start in February.
The teaching studio is equipped with several workbenches and a wide assortment of kilns and state-of-the-art coldworking equipment. For student comfort and safety, teaching areas are isolated from heavy equipment such as the compressor and sandblaster. Water supplied to the coldworking equipment is heated.

Brock Craig’s kilnformed glass is sold in galleries across North America and held in collections in Canada, the United States, Germany, Japan and Australia. In 1998, Craig was nominated for the Jean A. Chalmers National Craft Award by the Crafts Association of British Columbia. He teaches widely and is active in promoting the glass arts. In 1995, he was a Director of the Canadian Craft Museum, and he served as President of the British Columbia Glass Arts Association from 1992-93 and 2000-01. During his tenure, he organized the BCGAA/Pilchuck Scholarship and inaugurated the Projected Image Lecture Series, a course of artist talks by Pilchuck instructors in conjunction with Simon Fraser University.
