Spend an hour learning about activities and volunteer opportunities surrounding the Glass Art Society's 38th annual conference, to be held in Portland from June 19-21, 2008.
If you've never attended a GAS conference, you may be surprised by the sheer scope of next summer's event. Portland conference organizers will describe what's coming our way and what it will mean for the local glass community. Find out the benefits of volunteering and how you can be involved.
The theme of GAS 2008—Forming Frontiers—is a nod to the Pacific Northwest's pioneering past as well as a promise to explore the glass-art world's continuing expansion into new and unknown territory. Don't miss the chance to get an early perspective on this important gathering and all of the ways you can participate.
As a special treat at this meeting, you'll get to view the conference teaser-video. The short video features interviews with a number of area artists and manufacturers who make our region a uniquely viable place for accomplishing collaborative projects in the glass arts.
