THINKING ABOUT APPLYING FOR BECON?
Participation in BECon is by application. Filling out our application form does not represent a commitment on your part to attend BECon. It simply puts you into the pool of those who will be considered for registration.
WHY APPLY?
We have found from past experience in our workshops that participants are as important to the education process as the presenters. More often than not, participants teach each other and amplify the learning atmosphere. We want to build a conference that offers not only the most competent and inspirational presenters, but also a balanced mix of attendees. BECon is a small conference, but we aim to cover the broadest possible territory of education in the field of kiln glass, from those who teach 10 year olds, to those who teach weekend workshops, to those who teach at the post-graduate university level. For this reason we may need to restrict attendance so as not to overload one sector.
The information we gather from the applications will help us better understand the profile of those interested in attending and to craft an optimal group of participants.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After this initial process is completed, we contact you with more detailed information on the conference and instructions for registering.
Meanwhile, we are eager to hear from you and committed to assembling an event of international significance that will contribute to the growth and health of kiln glass.
Sincerely,
Lani McGregor, Director
