In March 2002 the Bullseye Research and Education Department hosted an artist exchange with Mexican master Rafael Cauduro. Cauduro has been a painter since 1975 and began working with glass in 2000. He came to Bullseye to create his pre-Columbian death symbols, TZOMPANTLIS, in cast glass.

The Cauduro project was headed by Bullseye's Director of Research & Education Ted Sawyer with assistance from studio techs Paul McNulty and Wendy Turner. Fire Art's Ray Ahlgren provided project consultation.
